about

This was a Jinx original. I can't remember the exact song writing credits, but I do remember that I changed the lyric in this version from what Brett originally penned (I was particularly proud of the "go live with your mother" line). The refrain, however, is distinctively Brett.

The music was embellished to an extent from the version that Jinx played, synthesizer-wise, due to the "benefits" of over-dubbing.

Two things surprise me about this recording: first, the length (unusually short), and secondly, the audacity I had to try and pull off such a poor Eddie Van Halen-esque guitar solo.

The intro, with it's homage to Van Halen's "Jump", gives additional clues as to the era in which this was recorded.
