about

This was to be the music for the opening credits of the (unfinished) film of the same name. One of the more interesting recording techniques employed was creating several guitar loops that could be played on an EPS-16+ sampling keyboard, so as to avoid track bouncing (and the accompanying audio quality degradation).

lyrics

Such a pretty pretty
My pretty little kitty
Pink little nose and scratchy whiskers
White little toes

She'd wake me in the morning
But she won't be waking me no more
She used to chase her little mousey
But now the mousey just lays there on the floor

My kitty has died, she won't be purring no more
By the roadside, no more scratching at my back door
Her ruby blood spills, the pavement's a sponge
By the roadside, I just can't take it no more

Licking me with sandpaper
And sticking her butt right in my face, oh lord
Coughing up her hairballs
And pissing all over the place

My kitty has died, she won't be purring no more
By the roadside, no more scratching at my back door
Her ruby blood spills, the pavement's a sponge
By the roadside, I just can't take it no more

My kitty has died, she won't be pissing no more
By the roadside, she won't be killing no birds no more
She lays in a heap by the side of the road
No chance she's asleep, oh God I think I might take my own
