about

This was my first full-length "album". I remember debuting this collection of songs in the winter of 1983-84 (I was probably 15 or 16 years old), in a VW van en-route to Lake Tahoe for a ski trip with the church youth group I participated in at the time.

My target audience consisted of three individuals: Jeff Fitchhorn, Dean Sitton, and Brett Juilly. This was (apparently) my attempt to impress my friends with my ability to use their equipment; I used Brett's Juno-60 synthesizer, and Jeff's cassette tape recorder which had the ability to overdub from tape to tape, which is what allowed me to lay down 7 or 8 tracks per tune.

This recording process, unfortunately, rendered the first two or three tracks inaudible or incoherent, which somewhat explains the less than high fidelity of the tracks. This album was "pre-sequencers", which explains the fluctuating tempos.
